A Simple Question explores the remarkable STRAW Program — a collaboration among elementary school students, ranchers, government agencies, and environmental professionals to restore habitat and save the endangered California freshwater shrimp. It began as a 4th grade class project 17 years ago and has since restored more than 20 miles of riparian habitat, trained nearly 700 teachers, and involved over 10,000 students.
