Climate Action Authority

The Climate Action Authority (CAA) is a national body established to coordinate and oversee climate action in Malta. Its mission is to mitigate the impacts of climate change and ensure a sustainable future for our nation.

The Approach

CAA adopts a holistic approach to climate action. It focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing carbon sinks, and implementing adaptive measures to build resilience against climate change. CAA engages with various sectors and stakeholders to formulate and implement effective climate policies and measures prevent and minimise the vulnerability to climate change impacts.
